Wythe County Community Hospital Announces Clinical Informaticist

Wendy Campbell, Director of ICCU/HS/Dialysis has accepted the additional role of Clinical Informaticist at Wythe County Community Hospital.
Wendy has been a registered nurse for over 19 years and with Wythe County Community Hospital the last 16 years. In her time with WCCH, she has worked as an ICCU nurse, house supervisor and supervisor of ICCU. Four years ago she transitioned into leadership and currently the director of ICCU, house supervision and dialysis. Recently, Wendy accepted an additional role as WCCH’s clinical informaticist.
Clinical Informatics is something that Wendy has had an interest in for some time and she looks forward to learning and growing in the additional role. As the clinical informaticist, Wendy will be working closely with all departments as the primary resource related to technology optimization, maintaining and updating the certified electronic health record applications and interfaces as well as promoting interoperability.
Wendy graduated from University of North Florida in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Then, Wendy graduated from Wytheville Community College in 2005 with an Assoicates Degree in Nursing.
A native of Orange Park, Floriday, Wendy has lived in Wytheville for the past 29 years. She moved to Wytheville in 1995 after marrying Lee Campbell.
Wendy enjoys watching all sports, listening to live music, traveling and camping.
