The LINX® System is a small flexible band of interlinked titanium beads with magnetic cores. The LINX device, roughly the same diameter as a quarter, is a small, flexible ring of magnets that opens to allow food and liquid to pass down and then closes to prevent stomach contents from moving up.

LINX® is an innovative minimally invasive approach for the management of the GERD. It is performed through small incisions in an outpatient setting

The device that is implanted during this procedure is placed around the lower portion of the esophagus. It is about the size of a quarter and is made of a flexible ring of magnetic titanium beads.
