Volunteering at WCCHThe Wythe County Community Hospital Auxiliary is a community group dedicated to providing service to the hospital and its patients. Over the years, the Auxiliary has given tremendous financial support to various Hospital projects such as redecoration of patient rooms, refurbishment of the lobby and Extended Care activity rooms, and purchase of many types of patient care equipment. The Auxiliary helped implement the Lifeline program, a hospital-based personal emergency response program designed for elderly and disabled people who may be living alone and who are considered "at risk." The Auxiliary operates the gift shop, transports patients, delivers cards, flowers and gifts and provides information to visitors.
